It is said that mindful eating
can help with weight loss.
Being fully aware in the moment fulfills
without overindulgence.
Savoring every morsel and minute
fills the hunger pot, before the belly fills.
But what of conversation?
What of admiring the view?
What of smelling the roses?
What of enjoying the music?
Can you really eat devoid of distraction?
Like a monkey with a blindfold,
wearing ear plugs with peg on nose,
body suspended in brine chamber,
deprived of all senses, bar taste,
Loaded in a sensory deprivation chamber, near you.
